Women's Empowerment – Sachchidanand Foundation

Empowering Women, Transforming Society

Promoting gender equality and women's leadership in all spheres of life

👩‍🦱 Women at the Heart of Change

Women are powerful agents of change. At SACHCHIDANAND DWARIKA SEVA SANSTHAN FOUNDATION, we work to strengthen women's economic independence, leadership, and access to rights. Our programmes focus on building self‑help groups, enhancing financial literacy, and creating safe spaces for women to thrive.

Our Vision: A society where every woman exercises her rights, fulfills her potential, and participates equally in decision‑making.

🌟 Our Women's Empowerment Initiatives

Self‑Help Groups (SHGs)

Forming and strengthening women's collectives for savings, credit, and livelihood activities.

Leadership Training

Building confidence and skills for women to take up leadership roles in panchayats and community institutions.

Economic Empowerment

Vocational training, enterprise development, and market linkages for women entrepreneurs.

Legal Awareness & Rights

Educating women about domestic violence laws, property rights, and government schemes.

Girl Child Education

Scholarships, safe transport, and awareness to prevent dropout and child marriage.

Safety & Dignity

Creating safe public spaces, addressing gender‑based violence, and providing counselling support.

🌱 Our Approach

We adopt a life‑cycle approach to women's empowerment:

  • Strengthening SHG federations for collective bargaining
  • Capacity building on financial management and entrepreneurship
  • Facilitating access to government schemes (PMJDY, PMMVY, etc.)
  • Engaging men and boys as allies for gender equality

Our interventions have reached over 10,000 women, with many now serving as elected representatives and community leaders.

🤝 Partnerships & Collaboration

We work with state rural livelihoods missions, banks, and civil society networks:

  • Partnering with Jeevika (BRLPS) for SHG strengthening
  • Corporate partnerships for skill training and market access
  • Collaboration with legal aid clinics
  • Training with district administration on gender budgeting

🤝 Strategic Partnerships

Our work aligns with the National Policy for Women and the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign. We collaborate with government departments, women's commissions, and grassroots organisations to amplify impact.

Impact Snapshot (2025): 150 SHGs formed with 2,500+ members, 800 women trained in livelihood skills, 200 women leaders trained, 300 girls supported with scholarships, 15 villages declared "gender‑friendly".
